Nonviolence Works!

Free Online Peace Conference: October 2, 2021:

Make a difference for peace by learning how powerful nonviolent resistance is as a force for change.

A family of 13 speakers and panelists have been assembled to share in an empowering way their story about peace and nonviolence.

At this year’s online conference, Kathy Kelly will return, after speaking at our conference last year. She is mother of all peace activists, beloved on the streets of Baghdad, NYC, and worldwide. William Pepper will speak to us, having spent a lifetime exposing the government’s role in his friend Martin Luther King’s assassination. We have two activist candidates for City Council, Jonathan Bailey, and Dem. primary winner Alexa Aviles, (both are from DSA, “Democratic Socialists of America.”) We also have two leading Quaker peace activists, Bill Leicht and George Lakey. We will hear from PTSD healer Edward Tick, Theosophist writer Juliana Cesano, Tibetan Buddhist teacher Khenpo Pema Wangdak, Rabbi Michael Feinberg, Quaker writer Sarah Freeman-Woolpert, and Zen activist Yuki Eric Michaels. Also, wise (guy) comedian and radio host Steve Bhaerman, AKA “Swami Beyondananda,” who will provide some necessary comic relief. Check out Speaker Bios here.
